New window: $143.24

Yuck.

Double Income

April 26, 2009

Since the beginning of 2009, our take-home pay has looked like this:

January: 3026.47

February: 3304.37

March: 3048.05

April: 3411.36

Mr. D2S works full-time, and I currently work a few hours here and there, because I’m in school full-time.

In a couple months, when I’m working full-time, our income will triple. Our plan is to not change our spending habits too much, and just sock away cash. Hopefully, we’ll stick to it!

It’s Personal.

Since finances are so personal, I’m opting to stay anonymous. And while you won’t know my name, where I live, or other identifying information, you do need some background.

I’m a 20-something woman.
I’m starting a career in health care.
My husband and I are DINKs (Double Income, No Kids).
My husband, we’ll call him Mr. D2S, is a city employee.

We’re young and motivated. We want to work hard, save hard, and still have fun as we journey to our goal of becoming SINKs (Single Income, Numerous Kids).
